Meet your trainers

Brock Mueller

Brock Mueller was a police officer in the California Central Valley for 10 years before relocating to the great state of Texas. During those 10 years, Brock was promoted to a highly desired position in the department: K9 Handler.

In 2017, Brock met his first K9 partner, Jango.

Brock successfully trained Jango in explosive detection and criminal apprehension. It was during the training of his first partner that Brock realized he has a true passion for training dogs.

Brock and Jango would continue to spend thousands of hours training together both at work and at home. Jango was such a successful police K9 that Brock was able to become a trainer for the entire K9 unit at the department. He went on to help his coworkers train their dogs to be very successful as well. Working with other officers K9’s only furthered Brocks training skills, teaching him the best approach with each dog, and how to create lasting behaviors in each of them.

Tragically, on April 27th 2021, Jango made the ultimate sacrifice and was killed while on duty trying to apprehend a violent suspect. Jango gave his life to protect Brock. Every day he is grateful for the time he had with Jango and for the incredible sacrifice he made.

After some time, Brock decided he had more to give to the canine world and selected to train another police canine. Mando, Brocks second K9 partner, was the healing piece that Brock needed. He continued to train Mando, other police canines, and chose to help all pet owners by creating House of Jango in honor of his heroic partner.

Brock moved his family and career to Melissa, Texas in 2023.

After settling in to the new Texan life, it was time to start training again.

Kelton Beattie

Kelton was a police officer in the California Central Valley for 8 years (2016-2024). In 2020, Kelton was promoted to the Canine Unit as a handler and paired with his partner Zeke.

At the end of 2020, Kelton sustained a gunshot wound during an officer-involved shooting. After an extensive rehabilitation process, Kelton and Zeke returned to full duty.

Over the course of four years, Kelton spent thousands of hours training and developing Zeke and other police officer’s canines in areas of obedience, apprehension, area/building searching, and narcotic/explosive searches to ensure effective deployments while patrolling.

Unfortunately, in 2024 Kelton was not able to continue working as a police officer and was retired.

Despite being retired his passion for canine training continues, by assisting other dog owners by becoming trainers and developing an everlasting bond.
